Dance
at ANA

Classical grace, folk energy, and contemporary expression — a dance programme that builds confidence as much as technique.

Dance Is
Discipline in Motion

Dance at Aspee Nutan Academy is far more than performance — it is a discipline that teaches focus, persistence, teamwork, and self-expression. Our dance programme is structured from Grades 1–12 and is led by experienced teachers trained in classical Indian and contemporary dance forms.

ANA's dedicated Dance Studio is equipped with sprung floors, full-length mirrors, a professional sound system, and performance lighting. The studio is available for practice before and after school, and is used for both curriculum classes and extracurricular coaching.

Our students have performed at national-level platforms. ANA alumnus Aryan Nair is a national-level Bharatanatyam performer who won the national junior classical dance championship while still a student at ANA — and went on to perform at the Mumbai Utsav festival.

The Benefits of Dance

Research consistently shows that regular dance training develops cognitive, emotional, and physical abilities that benefit students in every area of life. At ANA, we treat dance as seriously as any academic subject.

🏆

National Junior Classical Dance Championship Winner

ANA alumnus Aryan Nair won the National Junior Classical Dance Championship in Bharatanatyam while studying at ANA — and represented Mumbai at the national festival, going on to perform at the prestigious Mumbai Utsav.

🧠

Cognitive Development

Learning sequences and choreography enhances memory, spatial reasoning, and concentration — all of which translate directly to academic performance.

💪

Physical Fitness

Dance builds strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, and cardiovascular endurance in a joyful, non-competitive environment.

🎭

Confidence & Stage Presence

Performing in front of an audience — from class recitals to the school auditorium — builds self-confidence, public speaking, and poise that last a lifetime.

🌍

Cultural Appreciation

Classical and folk dance forms connect students to India's rich artistic heritage and instill a sense of pride, identity, and cross-cultural understanding.

❤️

Emotional Expression

Dance provides a safe, structured space for emotional expression and release — particularly valuable during the adolescent years.
